Bodhisattva singing bowl
17-18th Century
Just listen to the peaceful, clear voice of this beautifully tuned heavyweight and thick-wall Jambati. I call this Bowl Bodhisattva because its sound radiates loving compassion and light. Its’ tones are opening the heart and whispering to the listener's ears "celebrate life".
The fundamental note is right between the notes E (Mi) and F (Fa) of the third octave (168-172hz), two overtones are C5 (Do) and B5 (Ti) with the difference of minus seven Hertz and twelve Hertz plus.
The ratios of the overtones and the fundamental tone are 3.07 for the first overtone and 5.95 for the second.
This bowl plays very easy on the rim.
This is a very good instrument for any kind of practice.
This bowl is equally good for beginners and experienced practitioners. Good massaging bowl (M-3).
