This Online Sound Frequency Analyzer was created and generously gifted to Bells of Bliss by Henrique Vianna
1. Choose the number of frequency peaks to test, as the Sound Frequency Analyzer application allows the measurement of one to four frequencies. It's advisable to choose the maximum number of frequencies to be displayed. Click here to learn about healing resonance and healing frequencies.
2. Enable access to your device's microphone so that the Sound Frequency Analyzer can test the sound frequencies.
3. Ensure other applications that access your microphone (like Viber, WhatsApp, Zoom, Skype) are turned off, as they might interfere with the Online Sound Frequency Analyzer.
4. The horizontal line on the analyzer indicates the frequency of the sound source, which ranges from zero to ten thousand Hertz.
5. The vertical lines on the analyzer indicate sound intensity, where the highest amplitude peaks represent the loudest sound partials (harmonics and overtones).
6. When measuring the frequencies of singing bowls, the overtones may appear with higher amplitude. The first peak on the left represents the fundamental frequency of your bowl, while the subsequent peaks represent overtones.
7. Use the "Freeze Analyzer" feature to document the frequency of your singing bowl or instrument, ensuring you can note your findings accurately.
8. Each sound partial of a Himalayan singing bowl is expressed by two frequencies, which interfere and create a pulsating sound (beats).
9. After testing, refer to the provided frequency charts to identify the note of your singing bowl, including an equal temperament frequency chart for note A (La) at both 440Hz and 432Hz.
10. You can find the best matching singing bowls from our selection of authentic singing bowls.
11. While browsing our collection, use the "Fundamental Note" and/or "Overtone Note" filter to find bowls that match.
12. Each bowl description includes the fundamental note and the first overtone note. Please consult this information for more accuracy regarding pitch.
Frequencies assigned to notes are defined as "concert pitch" or perfect pitch.
