This Online Sound Spectrum Frequency Analyzer was created and generously gifted to Bells of Bliss by Henrique Vianna
1. Choose the number of the frequencies peaks you would like to test (our frequency analyzer application is allowing to measure from one to four frequencies). We recommend on choosing the maximum number of frequencies to be shown. Click here to learn about healing resonance and healing frequencies
2. Allow the Sound Frequency Analyzer to test the sound frequencies by giving it an access to the microphone of your device (switch the microphone ON).
3. If you are running any other applications on your device that have an access to your microphone (Viber, WhatsApp, Zoom, Skype, etc), it might interfere with the Online Sound Spectrum Frequency Analyzer. To read the frequencies of your singing bowls or other instruments, please turn these applications OFF.
4. The horizontal line on our Online Sound Spectrum Frequency Analyzer indicates the frequency of the sounding source. The range of the frequencies that could be measured with our application is from zero Hertz to ten thousand Hertz.
5. The vertical lines on the left and right borders of our Online Sound Spectrum Frequency Analyzer are indicating the intensity of sound (loudness). The highest amplitude peaks are the loudest sound partials (harmonics and overtones).
6. In some cases of measuring the frequencies of singing bowls the overtones of tested sound bowls may be shown with a higher sound amplitude (loudness). Refer to the first high peak on the left as the fundamental sound of your singing bowl. All other - higher frequency peaks are the overtones.
7. To write down the frequencies of your singing bowl or any other instrument you test the sound of, use a handy and helpful feature "Freeze Analyzer". Turn the "freeze analyzer" feature ON to document the frequency of your singing bowl.
8. Please note, that each sound partial of Himalayan singing bowl (Tibetan singing bowl) is defined by two frequencies. The interference between these frequencies is resulting in pulsating sound of singing bowls (beats).
9. After testing the fundamental frequency of your singing bowl, check the chart to see what note your singing bowl (or other instrument) is. We attach two frequency charts, Equal Temperament frequency chart for note A (La) fourth octave equal 440Hz and 432Hz.
Disclaimer: we do not consider one system of frequency reference better than other and we do not promote Solfeggio frequencies such as 111Hz, 369Hz, 432Hz, 528Hz, etc. The frequencies charts you see on this page are given for you to determine what is the closest note to the frequency of your singing bowl in both systems; A4=440Hz and A4=432Hz.
10. After checking the note of your singing bowl (the fundamental tone), you may want to match another best sounding singing bowl /s to it from our selection of authentic singing bowls.
11. Use the "Fundamental Note" and / or "Overtone Note" filter when browsing through any collection of Himalayan singing bowls on our website.
12. We indicate the fundamental note and the first overtone note of each singing bowl we offer. Please check this information in the description of each singing bowl. You will find the note, the octave and what is an inaccuracy off the concert pitch.
Frequencies assigned to any note, are called a "concert pitch" (also perfect pitch).
