18th-19th Century Thin-Walled Jambati Singing Bowl

This 18th-19th century thin-walled Jambati has a very smooth surface and a powerful, atmospheric voice. Some practitioners describe this type of bowl as shamanic because of its darker and more mysterious tonal character.

The sound is balanced, strong, and deeply energizing, with a presence that can quickly shift the atmosphere of a room. Because of this intensity, it is best used with awareness in private healing sessions, especially with sensitive clients.

The rim plays smoothly and easily, opening both low tones and higher overtones depending on the mallet and technique. Its vibration is rated M-5, making it an excellent massage bowl as well as a strong instrument for meditation, group sound work, and ceremonial practice.

Frequencies:
Fundamental: 108-110 Hz, A2 concert pitch, delta range
First overtone: 334-335 Hz, E4 +4 Hz
Additional frequencies: 443 Hz, 658 Hz, 1069 Hz, 1549 Hz

Includes: singing bowl cushion, S1 striking mallet, and R3 rubbing mallet.
