This bowl has a clear, balanced sound. Practicing conscious listening to this bowl is a good way to achieve clarity. The sound is pretty intense, yet it's smooth. It’s good to use this instrument with other bowls in group meditations. Also, this bowl is an excellent tool for personal meditation and healing sessions. It could be used at the beginning or at the end of the session to bring the client into the "here and now" state.
This bowl is easy to play by rubbing the rim, and it sings the fundamental tone and (or) the overtone, depending on your playing technique. Some familiarity with singing bowls is needed in order to play this instrument.
