Very peaceful, clear, gentle sound. Another perfectly harmonized instrument. The fundamental note is third octave C (Do), plus two Hertz, two overtones are G4 (Sol) and G5 with the difference of four Hertz plus and eleven Hertz minus.
This bowl is a sample of sonic perfection, look at the ratios of the frequencies. The first overtone's value in relation to the fundamental's frequency is 3 even! (396hz/132hz), the ratio of second and first overtones is 1.95 (396/132hz).
The mechanical vibrations of this bowl are very powerful but smooth at the same time, which makes this instrument a perfect massaging bowl (M-5).
It is very easy to play by rubbing the rim. The high pitch is somewhat dominating the low tone.
A perfect tool to use in individual and group meditations, and it is also great for healing sessions. This bowl is equally good for beginners and experienced practitioners.
