This 18th-century large high-wall Jambati has a powerful, commanding voice with a deep and long-lasting sustain. Its sound feels confident, grounding, and intense, with a darker tonal character that gives the bowl a strong ceremonial presence.
The mechanical vibration is extremely strong yet smooth, rated M-5. Because of its size and weight, it may be too heavy for traditional massage use, though some clients may appreciate its pressure and vibration on the chest, back, or shoulders. It can also be placed a few inches below the feet while the client is lying down and gently struck with a soft, heavy mallet for a strong grounding effect.
The bowl plays the low tone effortlessly when rubbed with a suede-padded mallet. It is a powerful instrument for personal meditation, group sessions, private healing work, and grounding applications.
